Quayle Milling Heifer Grower pellets are a medium energy, medium protein supplement for dairy and beef heifers from 6 months of age until 1 month prior to calving.
The balanced vitamins and minerals along with quality ingredients in this feed ensure that heifers grow to their genetic potential and are therefore valuable females within the herd.
These pellets are not a complete feed as they are designed to be fed with quality hay / forage.
The inclusion of a rumen buffer in the form of Acid Buf®, aids in the prevention of rumen upsets and acidosis that may occur when feeding high starch feeds.
The Heifer Grower also contains Rumensin® to increase weight gain, feed conversion efficiency and reproductive performance.
This product is available in 10mm nuts or 4.7mm pellets to enable convenient, practical feeding in all situations.
INGREDIENTS SELECTED FROM:
Cereal Grains and Products (Barley, Wheat, Bran & Pollard), Canola Meal, Lupins, Limestone, Rumen Buffer (Acid Buf®), Salt, Rumensin® (Monensin sodium), Mineral and Vitamin Premix (containing copper).
FEED RATE/RECOMMENDED FEEDING:
Animals should be introduced gradually to this feed over a period of 14 days beginning with 0.2% of body weight/head/day in pellets and the remainder of the diet being forage (20-25mm in length).
Increase the amount of pellets slowly while maintaining access to forage; with animals able to consume 2% of body weight per head per day.
Livestock should always have access to fresh, clean drinking water.

This product contains monensin (40mg/kg). DO NOT feed to dogs, horses or other equids. It may be fatal to these species.
This product does not contain restricted animal material.

STORAGE:
Store in a cool, dry, shaded environment, off the ground to prevent mould and infestations. Remove plastic wrap from bagged product when delivered for better storage life.
EXPIRY:
Use within 6 months of date of manufacture.
